Auburn, Alabama —The Alabama Cooperative Extension System, The Alabama Green Industry Training Center and the Alabama Pesticide Safety Education Program will host the third Pesticide Applicators University Oct. 29 and 30 at the Auburn Marriott Opelika Hotel and Conference Center at Grand National, in Opelika Alabama.
Registration is $125 through Sept. 28. After Sept. 28 registration cost is $175. Registration includes category specific tracks on day one and a field trip corresponding to each track on day two. Class session tracks include Ornamental Turf and Pest Control (OTPC/OTPS), Household and Industrial Pest Control (HPC/IIHC), Aquatic and Public Health (AQ/PH), and Wood Destroying Organisms (WDO) tracks. CEU points (30) have been approved for Alabama Applicators. CEO points for Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, also have been approved.

Dr. Dini Miller professor at Virginia Tech will discussing bed bug control (HPC/IIHC). Dr. Fudd Graham Research Fellow at Auburn University will cover information on treating sensitive areas (HPC/IIHC). Tom Campbell, of Campbell Law, PC and Cliff Slaten of Slaten Law, PC will host a panel discussion for litigation in structural pest control (WDO). Scott Wanzor of PBI Gordon Corporation will discuss new turfgrass herbicides (OTPC/OTPS). Donny Oswalt, owner of Bug Doctor Pest Control will cover information on ticks and fleas (AQ/PH). Other subject matter experts will cover many other topics.
